Struthers Partners with Chick-Fil-A Through Closed Social Media Community

Struthers City School District has been using DRUND, a secure, closed social media community, for communications to parents and students within the district on school policies, snow days, classroom activities, updates and more.

Teachers have the ability to take photos and videos of the amazing work students are completing every day at school or on field trips. Students in Grades 7-12 also have the ability to use the secure system to communicate with staff and peers to stay connected and up-to-date with projects, assignments and even homework help.

This year, Struthers City Schools has partnered with Chick-fil-a to offer parents and students incentives for joining the secure DRUND community. Students and parents will be able to win free sandwich coupons or an evening dinner from Chick-fil-a. More information will be announced on DRUND explaining how to enter for a chance to win one of these great offers, so make sure you join DRUND today.

Superintendent, Joe Nohra said, "We are very excited to partner with Chick-Fil-A and be able to offer these incentives to our students, parents and staff. They are a wonderful organization and a joy to work with."

Chick-fil-A at Boardman is a locally owned franchise restaurant offering great tasting food and a family-friendly dining experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant and staff is committed to providing Second Mile Service and strives to exceed guest expectations. Community is also an important part of their day-to-day operations, and it is their hope to enrich the lives of all customers.

"We are happy to give back to the Struthers community because they have graciously supported us for many years," said General Manager, Shelly LaBerto. "We really look forward to any opportunities to give back to our communities."

Not only does Chick-Fil-A give back to the community, but they strive to give back to families as well. The Boardman location offers family nights to bring families together through food and fun. This is one of the many reasons why Struthers City Schools was looking forward to partnering with Chick-Fil-A at Boardman.
