Struthers Athletic Booster Club held their 15th Annual Wildcat Scramble on Thursday, June 7th at Knoll Run Golf Course. The event hosted approximately 130 golfers plus guests. The outing was sponsored by Transit Service and worker apparel was sponsored by Artists at Work. The proceeds of the Wildcat Scramble benefit the Struthers Athletic Department’s uniform fund and the Wildcat Scramble Scholarship Fund.

Team Federal Servicing LLC (Brian Banfield, Ken Mills, Nick Cochran and Larry Tusinac) finished with top honors at 16 under. They are eligible to participate in the 2018 Coors Lite Greatest Golfer Scramble Championship which will be held at The Lake Club on August 13th.

This year’s recipient of the Struthers Athletic Contributor Award was Sandi DiBacco. Sandi is a Struthers graduate, a past Struthers Superintendent, a longtime supporter of the Struthers City Schools and their athletics, and an integral part of the inception of the Wildcat Scramble. The award was presented to Sandi by longtime friend and colleague, Rob Conklin.

Thank you to all who participated, contributed, and volunteered to make this outing such a success. Next year’s date is June 6th, 2019, so mark your calendars! For additional information about participating in the outing, contact Athletic Director, Nancy Knight at (330) 750-1062 ext. 41395.
