Struthers City School Board Approves New Administrative Hires

?At a special meeting held by the Struthers Board of Education today, Thursday, June 29, Pete Pirone, Jr. was hired as Superintendent of the District. Also at the meeting, Bethany Carlson was promoted to Lead Principal at Struthers Elementary School, Joan Jones was hired as Principal at Struthers Elementary School and Dave Vecchione was hired as Lead Principal at Struthers Middle School.

Grant Funded Fitness Fair to be Held for Students at Struthers City Schools

On Friday, May 12, Struthers City Schools will host a Fitness Fair from 4-6 p.m. for Struthers students in grades K-6 on the high school track. The event is funded through a Safe Routes to School grant through the ODOT’s “Every Move You Make, Make It Safe” Campaign.

Early Registration Now Available for the 14th Annual Wildcat Golf Scramble

The Struthers City School Athletic Department will host the 14th Annual Wildcat Golf Scramble beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 8 at Knoll Run Golf Course. The cost to participate is $320 per 4 man team and includes green fees and cart, lunch at the turn, dinner on the spit and refreshments. Skins and Mulligans will be available for $20. Congratulations to Christopher Dominick, the 2016 Struthers Elementary School Spelling Bee Winner

On December 1, Struthers Elementary School held their annual school spelling bee and would like to congratulate this year’s winner, 3rd grader Christopher Dominick runner up, 4th grader Mia Clyde.
