Struthers High School Football Celebrates 100th Year with Celebration

The Struthers High School Football 100th Year Celebration will take place Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Struthers High School football stadium during their home game vs. Toledo Scott.

Struthers Softball Team Rallies Around Hannah Tringhese

The first pitch was the most important in Saturday’s softball matchup between Struthers and Valley Christian at Mauthe Park. And it came in a courageous act.

Hannah Tringhese, a Struthers Elementary School kindergartner, tossed the opening pitch in a 17-1 Wildcats win that benefited her fight against her illness of a massive brain tumor.

Don’t Forget to Register for the 13th Annual Wildcat Golf Scramble

The Struthers City School Athletic Department will host the 13th Annual Wildcat Golf Scramble at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 9 at Knoll Run Golf Course. The cost to participate is $320 per 4 man team and includes green fees and cart, lunch at the turn, dinner on the spit and refreshments. All proceeds from the golf scramble benefit Struthers Athletics and the Wildcat Scramble Scholarship Fund.

The Struthers Wildcats held a 14-7 lead at the half before the Hubbard Eagles tied things up in the fourth quarter. However, Struthers found the end zone and converted on a two-point conversion to put themselves ahead for good, 22-14.
