Congratulations to Spelling Bee Winner, Nevaeh Jones!

SMS Spelling Bee Winner Nevaeh Jones

Struthers Middle School held its annual school Spelling Bee on December 20th. Approximately 24 students in grades 5-8 participated in the bee.

The spelling bee lasted more than 20 rounds, but 6th grader Nevaeh Jones excelled as the winner, spelling “martingale” correctly to lock in her win. Seventh grader Kyle Johnson was runner-up for this year’s spelling bee.

Jones will advance to the Vindicator Spelling Bee, which will be held on Saturday, March 10th at 9 a.m. at the Youngstown State University Kilcawley Center.
